Usually, dips are a waste of fat and calories and creamy goodness. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this dip recipe from Hungry Girl. It's a bean dip with ground turkey in it. With the ground turkey, this already fiber-full dip gets more lean protein added.

Monday Munchies: Ashley's Delish Dip
So I love making this dip-its sour cream and a whole bunch of spices. It goes perfectly with baby carrots or chips and really isn't too bad for you if you make it the smart way. I got bored one day and just started throwing this together until it tasted as spiced as I was craving.
Here is the very simple recipe:
2 tablespoons low fat sour cream
then you choose how you want it to taste; I would suggest:
- Garlic powder and onion flakes
- Emeril's southwest essence
- Chili powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper
- Taco seasoning

Guacamole-rich, delicious, and healthy
Multigrain tortilla chips and guacamole are a great afternoon snack that will give you just enough fiber and healthy fats without overwhelming your body. I found this guacamole recipe from Dr. Oz in his collection of "Love Them or Hate Them Recipes"
Chances are if you love the smell of cilantro, you will love the taste of guacamole – and vice versa.
Ingredients
3 ripe avocados
½ cup diced red onions
2 medium tomatoes, diced
Juice of 1 lime
1 small jalapeño, finely chopped
dash of hot sauce
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
1 cup chopped cilantro
Directions
Mash avocado, stir in the onions, tomatoes, lime, jalapeños and hot sauce. Add the salt pepper and cilantro and combine well.
Cover with plastic wrap directly on the guacamole to avoid discoloration and store for ½ hour before serving to give flavors time to develop fully.
