From Self's November 2008 feature of Eat Healthy All Week, here is a recipe for a refreshing and healthy citrus smoothie.
Citrus Smoothie
Serves 1
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup of ice
- 1/2 banana
- 2 tablespoons quick-cooking oats
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon orange juice concentrate
- 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 2 large fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
PREPARATION

Blend all ingredients except strawberries in a blender or food processor until smooth. Top with berries and serve.
